September 8 & 9, 2007 - Drawing from Nature/Still Life with Geraldine Kiefer
We'll take our art tables outside to the mall for this presentation so that you can draw tree trunks, leaves and whatever else your eyes see. Inclement weather will find us inside doing still life.
October 13 & 14, 2007 - Shadow Puppets with Jon Gemmell
The magic of Indonesian puppets come alive as you construct your own puppets from tag board, assembling their joints with fasteners and then practicing the art of performance against a white screen set up in the art room.
November 10 & 11, 2007- Shadow Story Boxes with Robin King
Using the characters and scenes from the Wizard of Oz as inspiration you'll be creating with textiles, paint, beads, and recycled materials. The final product will be displayed in the art room of the Museum.
December 8 & 9, 2007 - Water Color Free Expression with Pet Buynack
You'll learn several water color techniques as you apply this fluid and changeable media to your paper.
January 12 & 13, 2008 - Everything Old is New Again with Heather O'Brien
Make jewelry from mini tins, rolled paper, bottle caps, and used CD's. You're welcome to bring your own materials but we'll have plenty of used stuff on hand as well.
February 9 & 10, 2008 - Drawing Light and Shadow with Joan Stotler
Want to give depth and life to your sketches? A shadow box and animal figures will be your guides as you use charcoal pencils to explore the techniques of capturing light and shadow on paper.
March 8 & 9, 2008 - Options in Sculpture with Kristine Turner
Whether you want to work with self hardening clay making 3-D sculpture, pinch or construction pots, or sculpty figures or beads, it's all available. Learn something new, refine your techniques or just come and have fun.
April 12 & 13, 2008 - Mixed Media Painting with Phoebe Glatkowski
Sustainability gets a boost and you get some fun. Acrylic paint, wire, foil, lace - it all comes into play as you create on canvas with stunning results.
May 10 & 11, 2008 - Basket Delights with Jackie Zehring
Basic basket weaving techniques lead you in the creation of personal treasures made with ribbon, fabric, yarn and raffia.
June 14 & 15, 2008 - Water Color Landscape Painting with Jim Moyer
Water colors and pastels bring both realistic and abstract landscapes to life as you learn the techniques of vantage points and horizons.
