Partnership to Recycle
April 2008 will be Spring Clean-Up Scrap Metal Recycling Month for the Discovery Museum. The Partnership to Recycle launched plastic bag collection in December 2007, and has expanded to include Sandy Hook Elementary School in Strasburg. That effort will gradually grow to include even more local schools. Now, with assistance from corporate partners Dick Williams of Zuckerman, Inc., Dennis Ridings of Irongate, Inc. and others, you can help build the new Discovery Museum by contributing your scrap metal to the Spring Clean-Up.
We need approximately 200 tons of metal to recycle into the steel for the new building. All metal will be accepted: cans, appliances, and vehicles. If you need assistance transporting large items, we can assist. If you have questions regarding whether or not an item is acceptable, please call ahead. We are relying heavily on you, our donors, to help us by making sure only metal items are collected.

April 26 & 27 - Middletown
May 10 & 11 - Double Tollgate
May 17 & 18 - Clearbrook
