Discovery Story Theater

The 3rd Saturday of Every Month

Performances at 10am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm, & 3pm

FREE when performed outside

Discovery Story Theater is a year long, get into the act yourself, theater program at the Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum. Several short performances will take place throughout the day. The plays will use familiar fairy tales, myths and fables as a jumping off point for stories with a funny twist that will not only make you laugh but incorporate a bit of science as well. The best part of all this on stage fun is that the Museum's acting troop will be inviting a few children to come up on the stage during each performance to don costumes and become a part of the story. We'll spare you the drudgery of rehearsal - you just jump into the action on stage.

Funding for this new program is being provided by generous grants from Virginia Commission for the Arts and the Marion Park Lewis Foundation.

The events will take place outside the Museum on the walking mall. They will be moved inside in the event of inclement weather.
